The Wedding Train

Keith and Cathy, Tori's parents, started talking about signing up for another Peace Corps tour while they were still in Poland. Tori and I both started thinking ... independently of one another at first ... that if we were going to get married in the next three or four years, we had better do it while her parents were in the U.S...between Peace Corps tours.

We’re not exactly sure when this was, but we think it was in November or December 1995. January 1996 at the latest.

As soon as one or the other of us mentioned this thought out loud, and we don't remember who it was, the deed was done. We had lit the fire under the boiler of the Wedding Train. No one was on board yet, and it certainly had not yet begun to move, but ... the pressure was slowly beginning to build.
