A few days ago I got a comb wet and combed Casey’s bed-head hair. I went a little overboard; I gave him a side part and slicked his bangs to the side as well. When he saw it he scowled and said, “I don’t know if this looks like my regular hair design.”
Casey was recently finishing a vanilla lollipop from See's. His teeth were sticking together and he was pulling them apart again and again. He said, "It's like eating cartilage." I said, "Whaa?" He said, "Because cartilage sticks your bones together."
Yesterday, a bored Casey asked me to “Get me some fun.”
Today in the kiddie pool Casey took one look at my not-so-recently shaved legs and said, “Why do you have spines on your legs?”
Also today, a zydeco song came on the radio and Casey called to me from the other room, "Mom, get those hips moving!"
